“A Child’s Love Story / Un Amour D’enfant” and “Toi Waguih”

Part of the African Film Festival, A Child’s Love Story / Un Amour D’enfant (2004) Filmmaker Be Diogaye Beye’s investigation of innocent love between children set against the background of a traditional class stem in Senegal. The short Toi Waguih (2005) by Namir Abdel Messeeh tells the story of his father’s 1959 arrest and imprisonment when thousands of Communists were rounded up in Egypt.
