Celebrate 30 years of World War 3 Illustrated collective, creators of America’s longest-running political comic book. The event will feature cutting-edge art with multimedia presentations, puppetry, performance, live music and members of the World War 3 Illustrated collective.

Almost every vertical space at The Sanctuary for Independent Media is covered with art by the World War 3 Illustrated collective, a massive 30th anniversary gallery show on loan through June 2010 from the library of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Following their Saturday night performance and presentations, on Sunday, May 9 the World War 3 Illustrated artists will be conducting a workshop called “Visual Journalism: Comics and Graphic Novels.”
